01Verdict

BOXT: our verdict

Reviewed 01/11/2026 from BOXT's own pages and our readings. No seller pays for a review or for its place in one.

BOXT sells fixed-price installs online and has local engineers it accredits do the work. Its boiler from price is the one we can compare: one model, the Ideal Logic Combi 24kW. Its heat pump, solar and battery prices are real but leave out what we need to compare them (the grant, the system size), and its workmanship guarantee on boilers is one year where British Gas offers five.

03Its own pages

What BOXT's pages say

In our words, with its own words quoted briefly, the page and the date we read it. The prices to compare are the readings above.

Boiler price: The boiler page gives one from price, and its footnote ties it to one model, the Ideal Logic Combi 24kW. Other models and brands are priced in the online quote. The page says: “Get a new boiler from £1,760”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Who fits it: BOXT sells the install; a local Gas Safe engineer it has accredited fits it, and BOXT audits each job before sign-off. The page says: “BOXT proudly partners with over 17,000 registered engineers”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
What a boiler install includes: The installation-day list includes removing the old boiler, a magnetic filter, a system flush, setting up controls and the certificates. The page says: “To ensure maximum efficiency, we'll flush your new system”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Price match: BOXT promises to beat a like-for-like boiler quote by £50, under the terms of its Price Match Promise. The page says: “We guarantee to beat any like-for-like boiler installation quote by £50”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Install date: Next working day installs are offered on boilers ordered before 3pm. The page says: “Next working day installs available when ordered before 3pm”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Heat pump price: The heat pump page's from price is footnoted to a Worcester Bosch Compress 2000 6kW, priced as of October 2026. It sits under a headline about the £7,500 grant but does not say beside the figure whether the grant is taken off. The page says: “Heat pumps installed from £4,799”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Solar and heat pump guarantee: Heat pump and solar installs carry a two-year workmanship guarantee; solar includes scaffolding, the MCS certificate and the DNO application. The page says: “2 year workmanship guarantee”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
EV chargers: Chargers are listed from £909 installed, with a three-year manufacturer guarantee (four years on Tesla). The page does not define the standard install or the cable run. The page says: “EV charger installs from £909”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026

04Where it loses

Where BOXT loses

Against another seller's page read the same day, or a gap that keeps a price off our comparisons.

Workmanship guarantee on boilers: One year on every boiler install. British Gas's combi boiler page, read the same day, offers a five-year British Gas warranty with parts and labour. The page says: “One year workmanship warranty on every installation”. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
One model behind the headline price: The £1,760 is for the Ideal Logic Combi 24kW. A Worcester Bosch or Vaillant boiler costs more, and the page does not say how much without the quote. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Heat pump price we cannot compare: The £4,799 does not say beside it whether the £7,500 grant is already off, so we keep it out of the heat pump comparison until the page says. E.ON Next's page states its heat pump totals after the grant. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
Solar and battery sizes: The solar offer is for 8 panels with no system size in kWp. The battery from price (£3,420) is footnoted to a "SunSynk Elite 5.1kW", a power rating with no storage in kWh. Neither matches one of our specs yet. Read on boxt.co.uk, 01/11/2026
